Karate simply means “open-hand” (open/kara hand/te). This can refer to the idea of defending oneself without the help of any weapons. It can also refer to the idea of keeping an open spirit and mind, being ready to take on any challenges with clear and considered thinking.

Every class contains strengthening exercises, stretching, balance, mental awareness and focus. Beginners can join anytime and students of all levels train together.
This helps to foster a sense of community and support with more experienced students helping the newer members of the Dojo develop their skills.
