Tai Chi Chuan

The practice of Tai Chi is a form of moving meditation, deep abdominal breathing is combined with a series of movements that are structured continuously. The movements of Tai Chi are designed to be rhythmical, effortless, and in continuous in flow. The movements also contain profound knowledge of self defense and human nature. When woven together the internal energetic alignment and external martial art skills bring the individual to their own highest potential.

Karate-Do

Shorinji Ryu Karate is the study of the martial arts developed on the Ryukyu Islands (Okinawa). An original mixed martial art Karate combines striking, blocking, joint locks, throws, and more. These techniques are always presented on a firm moral foundation of compassion, humility, and gratitude.

Kids and Parents Karate

Traditional Karate training is a fun way for children to develop confidence, health and fitness as well as mental focus. Traditional Karate teaches self-discipline and socialization skills. Many parents whose children train in the martial arts find that their children’s self-control, concentration and confidence are greatly improved through Karate training. One unique aspect of the kids classes at the Vancouver Dojo is that parents are welcome to train alongside their children.
